Mark Griffin (President)

Mark Griffin is the President and Chief Staff person of the Michigan Petroleum Association/Michigan Association of Convenience Stores or MPA/MACS.
As the chief staff person, Mark is responsible for the overall administration of MPA/MACS, as well as, implementing the policies of the Board of Directors. Mark oversees the Association’s lobbying efforts, political fundraising, marketing, publishing and communications, finance and overall operations.
After graduation from Michigan State University in 1982, Mark held positions with Michigan National Bank and the Michigan Restaurant Association. In 1992 he joined MPA/MACS as the Associate Director and in February 1995 he was appointed President of MPA/MACS by the Board of Directors.
Mark is a member of the American Society of Association Executives and the Michigan Society of Association Executives (MSAE) and was the 1992 recipient of MSAE’s Chairman’s Gavel Award.

Robert Cleary (Vice President)

Bob Cleary joined MPA/MACS in September 1998 as Director of Member Relations. He was promoted to Vice President in January 2002. Bob is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Association, and is involved in the financial planning and budget. He participates in the officers and board meetings, as well as all committees with particular emphasis on Government Affairs and MPJPAC. He also heads up the planning for the annual Legislative Lunch and PAC golf outing. A 1992 graduate of Western Michigan University, Bob earned a bachelor's degree in business administration. While in college, he spent his summers on Mackinac Island working as assistant manager of the Grand Hotel. Prior to joining MPA/MACS, Bob was director of operations for a small medical billing firm in Lansing, and spent three years as an account executive for the Farhat Group, a multi-client lobbying firm in the state capital.

Kelli Gustin (Convention & Publications Coordinator)

Kelli joined MPA/MACS in July of 1995 as the Association's Secretary and was promoted to Office Manager in 2000. In 2006, Kelli took over the Association’s two annual conventions, working with the Convention Committee in developing programs for the meetings. She also designs and lays out the Marketer and Membership Directory.
Kelli is a graduate of Davenport University with a degree as an Executive Administrative Assistant.
Deanna Schultz (Accounting)

Deanna Schultz joined MPA/MACS in November of 2002 as the staff Accountant. Deanna has an associate degree from Lansing Community College in Architectural Technology and Computer Graphics. She previously worked at the Michigan Association of Realtors for over four years in the Public Policy Department and was the administrator of the Realtors Political Action Committee.

April joined MPA/MACS as the Association's part-time secretary. April graduated from Grand Ledge High School in 2001. After school she went on to Lansing Community College where she studied Legal Office Administration and received her degree in 2005.
